IWMS Applications Developer
AMS Workplace Technology seeks an IWMS Applications Developer for its Fairfield, NJ office.
The IWMS Applications Developer will consult closely with clients in support of Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM)/Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) application software implementation, customization, and upgrade projects for FM:Systems and Nuvolo (ServiceNow) customers. This position will hold core responsibility for the delivery of various Professional Services offered by AMS, including Customer Service Support, training, implementation/upgrade, technical consulting, business process workflow analysis, data migration and cleanup, project management, software configuration, and customization. The PM/Analyst will identify new services opportunities, analyze and document project requirements, support cost and schedule estimating, and coordinate with cross-functional internal and customer resources from inception thru successful completion. We have existing long-term relationships with prestigious Fortune 500 clients as well as a robust pipeline of new opportunities.
AMS's innovative modular CAFM application solutions solve challenging customer problems in several industries including pharmaceuticals, research, corporate, financial, health care, and higher education. We leverage sophisticated technologies including relational databases (MS SQL), Web (HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, JSON), Mobile (Android, iOS, Windows, barcodes, RFID), and the Microsoft .NET stack (C#, MVC, REST Web Services, IIS, XML), and Internet of Things (IoT) space utilization-tracking systems.
Primary Duties
- Provide CAFM design and expert configuration of FM:Systems and Nuvolo (ServiceNow) products through the systems development lifecycle.
- Implement the software with best practices and develop advanced solutions ensuring quality testing, debugging, and deployment with an eye toward automation.
- Support and publish AMS scoped applications on the ServiceNow Store.
- Develop API services to integrate with internal & external FM:Systems/ServiceNow applications.
- Gather software requirements, and oversee documentation and maintenance of design specifications, architectural diagrams, and process diagrams.
- Develop high-level project plans and ensure all stakeholders fully understand the scope and approach.
- Work in a team and support AMS staff as required to complete CAFM project work.
- Study existing Company's solutions and services and suggest additional areas of service opportunities.
- Responsible for estimating accurate time for project work and keeping tasks within scope and budget.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Master's Degree in Computer Sciences OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least five (5) years of previous relevant experience.
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of implementation experience of FM:Systems products (FMS:Workplace/FMS:Employee).
- 2+ years experience with ServiceNow/Nuvolo.
- Ability to quickly absorb CAFM software knowledge (FMS:Workplace / FMS:Employee / Nuvolo) and facilities management functions.
- FM:Systems development skills in front-end and server scripting (C# / VB, SQL – Triggers/Stored Procedures, SSIS/SSRS).
- ServiceNow Catalog and Knowledge Management.
- ServiceNow development skills in scripting, flow designer, business rules, data imports, ACLs, data policies, UI policies, data import and transformation, logging, error remediation, data encryption, flow designer (including Integration Hub spokes), notifications, SLAs, metrics, database views, assessments, forms, reports, workflow, and language translations.
- Various applications integration experience using - SOAP, REST, and JSON as well as JDBC and file imports.
- Ability to deliver results via influencing leadership by articulating facts regarding planning and execution/delivery that result in improved outcomes.
- Conducts solid stakeholder and risk analysis on key issues.
- Weighs alternatives and considers service, business, and financial implications of decisions.
