Consulting Discovery
Our solutions delivery model begins with understanding the goals and requirements for each project. The very first step in the process is the consulting discovery, which consists of one or often multiple meetings with customers that are led by our consultants to determine the best solution and what’s needed to execute.
We work closely with you to identify your pain points, goals, and business needs, then design a tailored solution using FM:Systems software. We have a particular focus on process and workflows, as they are critical to the success of the solution. After the consulting discovery, we deliver a Design Specification document that outlines the goals and requirements as well as the overall design and illustrated workflows. This essentially becomes the scope of work, leaving room for agile development along the way. This process allows for the most flexibility and results in a custom solution that best meets your business needs.
System Evaluation
In some cases, FM:Systems customers already have the software, but feel that they’re not using it to its fullest potential, or are looking for ways to optimize it to support their needs. Backed by almost 20 years of experience, AMS Workplace Technology helps customers by reviewing their existing system and evaluating it using an Effectiveness, Potential, and Value scorecard. We then provide you with recommendations for success. The evaluation includes a modified form of the aforementioned Consulting Discovery and can be performed on an individual module basis, or for the entire system. By evaluating your system with AMS, you can identify areas where you can get more out of the software, and receive expert advice on configuration and other recommended components to help meet your needs in the short- and long-term.
Standards Development
An FM:Systems implementation without a good foundation will not provide the stability and results needed for long-term success. At AMS, we believe in the importance of defining and clearly understanding space standards, terms, processes, measurement methods, and other business rules to build the foundation for system data and processes. It is not uncommon to ask new customers about these areas and hear that they’re lacking standard definitions & terms, or that they’re not consistently defining and managing their space data in a standard way. AMS can help you understand how space is categorized, allocated, and measured in the system so that you receive consistent metrics in your reporting from space utilization to department chargebacks. Our standards review & development is part of every new customer’s implementation and is proven to provide better data quality and more consistent results for FM:Systems customers.
