Reserve Your Seat at the Office

It is more common these days, especially in our post-COVID world, to see companies implement a strategy of allocating workspaces for use by employees on an as-needed basis. These types of spaces, traditionally referred to as “hoteling” spaces, are individual unassigned spaces that can be used by any employee for all or part of the day when they’re working in the office. Some employees will work both at home and the office and therefore will need an available space at the workplace for focus heads-down work or collaboration.

This “officing” strategy requires a software tool to allow those who want to find and reserve a space to do so quickly and easily. AMS can help you integrate FM:Systems’ Employee tools, giving you access to:

Reservations Made Easy with AMS

Since we are at our computers whether at home or the office, there needs to be a web-friendly, quick tool to allow for reserving space. FMS:Employee allows for a simple interface using a web browser to reserve a space for use, whether for a full day or just a few hours. Employees can also easily search for different types of spaces, from focus rooms for uninterrupted work to open and collaborative areas near other team members. The web client allows employees to quickly get in and reserve the best spaces for the days they plan to be in the office.

Mobile Booking

Being the foundation of the workplace, space management provides a hub of facilities data that organizations can utilize and build from, allowing for more accurate management of assets and moves/adds/changes in the workplace. It also provides the ability to use the data to strategically forecast and plan for space use, as well as provide space chargeback reports prorated to department use based on space use or headcount.

Floor Plan Map Viewing

n addition to finding available rooms using the web browser, you can also view space availability on a floor plan map of the facility. This allows you to visually see what spaces are available and where co-workers are sitting to find the right place to park for the day. Your floor plan can even be color coded to show different kinds of spaces from personal “me” spaces to open plan and soft-seating environments.

FMS Employee gives your employees different ways to search and reserve their place at the facility when they need to “office”. This will allow for easier change management while seamlessly transitioning your workforce into a hybrid home/work environment!
