Standardized Asset Management

The Asset Management Module of FMS:Workplace is included with the software at no additional cost. It comes standard with a few different template asset tables for building equipment, computer equipment, furniture, and data jacks. Even better, you can create any kind of additional asset libraries using the software without customization. The built-in administrative tools allow you to quickly create a base asset catalog and inventory for whatever asset type you are looking for.

Accurate Asset Tracking and Reporting

The FMS:Workplace Asset Management module allows you to create catalog items at the model level (i.e. Trane AC Rooftop Unit Voyager 2) and track them with individual inventory instances of those assets in the field. This inventory includes all the details of each individual asset such as its Serial Number, Cost, Date Placed in Service, Warranty, Vendor, etc.). The assets can also have an assigned ID or Tag Number that can be included in a barcode label.

Intuitive Data Collection and Mapping

Adding inventory is easily done with a web browser and laptop or mobile form using FMS:Mobile on a mobile device. And if assets need to be imported, FM:Systems can accept multiple files formats, including Excel, to transfer the data. You can even include digital photos of the assets along with documentation such as equipment manuals and links to product and vendor web sites.

The interactive nature of the floor plans allows you to pick a room location to display all the assets that are located within it. Each asset can be selected to view additional details, including any service requests/maintenance that has been performed on it, if the Maintenance Module is also used. Actual asset location on the floor can also be added in CAD to provide more detail.

The module comes standard, and the forms and inventory are easy to set up. All your facilities team needs to do is supply the boots on the ground, and you’re ready to find out “what you have”!
