The AMS Workplace & Showroom
When it came time to move into a new office headquarters, the goal was to remain in the same area, build-out the space to suit a new way of working and allow additional room for new hires. AMS worked with business partner Dancker, a leading interior solutions firm, to design the new office suite with a modern look using functional furniture in a collaborative open plan. While we don’t have a lot of office space, we wanted the design along with the look and feel to represent a collection of how we are seeing our customers design their space for their employees. This way our team could live the experience of more modern, collaborative facilities that are being designed with alternative workplace strategies.
The results were outstanding, mixing modern with functional for a great workplace experience with multiple working options.
Integrating Facilities Management Technology
The design was the first step in the process – the next was adding the FM technology. Since AMS is a workplace software and technology solutions company, it was important to add devices, sensors, and smart fixtures to the space to show how these can be used for tracking space utilization and processing visitors and meeting room reservations. The technology was configured with FM:Interact software to show example results in our space and become a showroom for displaying FM technology together with FM:Systems.
"We basically brought all the technologies such as badging, CREE lighting, Hella People Sensors, and desk sensors into a CAFM database of our own space and building to be able to showcase how they are used and have our team learn how to implement and use them," said Rich Belar, Solutions Architect at AMS.
