Turn-by-Turn Indoor Directions

The term “wayfinding” has different meanings depending on who you talk to. FM:Systems software allows for navigating to a space or room in a floor plan, including where a person is assigned a seat. This, however, does not explain how to navigate to that space/room from your current location.

Wayfinding by AMS means the ability to navigate to a location in a turn-by-turn manner on a facilities map from your current geospatial location. AMS partners with LocusLabs to provide digital mapping and location services for the workplace.

Room-to-Room Facility Navigation

Using LocusLabs, both employees and visitors can easily find and navigate to people and places within the facility, site, or campus. Help employees find their way around a new building/campus and get to a specific meeting room. Navigation can even include vertical transportation such as elevators and stairwells. Wayfinding paths can be suggested and aid in showing accessible routing as needed. Floor plans can be mapped out for use in as little as 21 days!

Point-of-Interest Navigation

In addition to rooms, points of interest (POI) from cafeterias and other amenities to security stations and parking can be navigated to as well. These POIs can tie into other links to order food and drinks to forms and contacts. POIs allow you to supplement typical room navigation to the most common places a visitor would be looking for when at the facility.

Kiosks & Scan-to-Phone Navigation

There are multiple client-side options for navigating. A person’s mobile device is convenient to search for people, spaces, and POI and get immediately into wayfinding mode. Kiosks can be strategically placed in the facility and allow employees and visitors to quickly search for a location that can then be scanned and transferred directly to your phone to start navigating!
